To check email settings in Outlook 2000 &
Outlook Express & IncrediMail
Open Outlook (Incredimail)
Click on Tools -> Accounts
Click on the Mail Tab
Here you should see your email account.
Click on Properties on the right and then on Servers at the top.
Here you should see:
My Incoming mail server is a POP3 server
Incoming Server: <>
Outgoing Server: <>
Account Name:
username@whatever.com
The last box at the bottom says My outgoing mail server requires authentication.
This should (not) be checked. Make any needed changes
Click Apply and then OK
Click Close
Now try to send/receive email.

2003
Open Outlook
Click on Tools -> Email Accounts
Select View or change an existing email account
Here you should see your email account
Click Change
Here you will see the following:
Your Name: (The name you would like people to see when you send them an email)
Email Address:
username@whatever.com
User Name:
username@whatever.com
Incoming mail Server: <>
Outgoing mail Server: <>
Username: Click More Settings
Click Outgoing Server at the top
My outgoing mail server requires authentication. This should (not) be checked.
Click OK -> Next -> Finish
Now try to send/receive email.

Open Eudora
Click on Tools -> Options
Click on Getting Started.
On the right hand side you should see
Real name: The name you would like people to see when you send them an email.
Return address: Your email address
Mail server (Incoming): <>
Login Name:
username@whatever.com
SMTP Server (Outgoing): <>
Allow authentication should (not) be checked.
Make any needed changes and click OK.
Now try to send/receive email.

Open Mac Mail by clicking on the Stamp
Click on Mail -> Preferences
Here you should see your email account
Click on Edit
Here you will see the following:
Account type:POP
Account Descritption:(The name of the account)
Email address: Full name:(The name that you would like people to see when you
send them and email)
Host name:
SMTP Host: Use authentication when sending mail shoulf (not) be checked.
SMTP User:
username@whatever.com
Make any needed changes and click OK
Close out of Mail Preferences
Now try to send/receive email.
