Dear (Customer Name), The following is instructions on how to setup a filter for Outlook Express to filter unwanted email messages. 1) Click on tools on the top of your screen, it is next to view and message in most versions of Outlook Express. 2) Then go to message rules and then choose mail. 3) Once the window opens choose the new button on the right hand side. 4) Next you will have a window that will give you a number of filtering options. We recommend that if you do use filters, have it filter by content inside the body of the email. The reason is that the From, Subject and To line can all be forged information. 5) The next option you need to configure is what to do with the email once it is received. We recommend that until you get the filter working exactly how you want it; have the filter move the email to a specific folder so that you may view the email before you delete it. 6) In the box towards the bottom you will see a link that says "Where the message body contains words" click on this link to specify any words that you feel are appropriate. You can have more than one word added to the list. 7) The next link will say move it to a specific folder. When you click on this link you have the option of creating a new folder or picking an existing folder. Once you are done with this click OK. 8) Then give a name to the filter that will describe what is does and click OK. Then close all the windows by clicking OK.

Dear XXXXXXX, Below is a list of factors which limit connection speed: FCC Regulations - The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) limits bandwidth on data transfer over voice lines to 53,000 bites per second. This renders a connection of 56,000 bites per second impossible.  Excessive Line Noise - A data connection is very sensitive to static and other noise on your phone line. Even minute noise that is unintelligible to the human ear can cause problems with your Internet connection. The best way to determine if there is excessive line noise on your phone lines is to have the phone company perform a Data Test on your phone lines. In most areas, this is a free service of the telephone company. Another way to test the quality of your lines is to run the US Robotics Line Test (you do NOT need to have a US Robotics brand modem for this to work). The US Robotics Line Test is a free program that you run directly from the USR website. There is no software to install. Simply click on the following link http://www.usrobotics.com/products/line-test.asp Too Many Devices on a Line - If you have multiple devices (telephone, fax, internet, answering machine, etc) installed on one line, the power of the line may not be ample enough to run a stable Internet connection.  Brand of modem- Generally lower end modems will connect at lower speeds than high end modems.  You may also want to double check with the modem manufacturer that you have the latest modem drivers. Click Tools -> Message Rules -> Mail The New Mail Rule window will appear. 1. Select the Conditions for your rule: Check "Where the From line contains people" 2. Select the Actions for your rule: Check "Move it to the specified folder" 3. Rule Description (click on an underlined value to edit it): Click "contains people" A new window will appear. Type the address in the first box and click "Add" If the emails come from more than one address you can add them here. Click "ok" Click "specified" A new window will appear. Click "New Folder" A new window will appear again. In this box type what you would like to name the folder. You can put in here the name of the company that the emails are coming from. Click "ok" Click "ok" 4. Name of the rule: Put the same name you did for the folder name. Click "ok" Click "ok" The message rule has now been set up. New messages that you receive from the specified senders will now go into the new folder that you created.
